Story Behind the Wine

‘The Hero's Journey’
Each year the vines go through a journey from bud break to harvest.
The older the vines, the harder they have to work... but what they produce is more concentrated and have more to say.
Anything coming from 120 years old is heroic in my book. This is The Hero's Journey.

’The Great Promise’
This was the first harvest from Fairview Road Ranch. For its' third leaf and first harvest, the wine showcases the potential of the vineyard.
It wasn't until the 2004 harvest which has already received praise that we knew the amazing potential.
So we called the first wine... The Great Promise.
